To propose and seek Drilling Superintendents' approval/technical advice on any major deviation to the approved program due to problems encountered in the course of the drilling/completion operations.
To ensure that reports submitted from the worksheet are correct and complete by reviewing the data prior to submission.
To ensure all sections of the OPENWELLS report are filled in order to generate the FWR Auto generation.
To provide on-the-spot decisions to any technical problems encountered by conducting risk assessments and providing corrective actions.
To ensure optimal operations performance by constantly evaluating, analyzing, and recommending good practices and procedures.
To implement COMPANY's offshore wells activities at the worksite in accordance with approved programs, procedures, and practices.
To ensure drilling equipment provided is rated as per the specifications by witnessing acceptance and other load/pressure tests and with proper records and practices.
To prepare equipment checklists for rig mob/demob, load out sequence, casing and pipe tallies, calculate cement/mud volume requirements, and monitor directional drilling survey data.
To identify and follow up on equipment requiring servicing, inspection, and/or repairs by monitoring equipment failure records and updating maintenance schedules.
Supervise overall logistics to ensure all required drilling equipment/materials will be made available in time for pre-check prior to utilization.
Liaise directly with drilling and 3rd party contractors for the required drilling equipment/materials.
Ensure operational compliance to HSE.
Coaching and training of junior engineers.
Requirement
Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/graduated High School or Equivalent. Diploma or Degree qualification will be an advantage.
Possess valid BOSIET/HUET/EBS certification.
Possess valid IWCF Level 4.
Minimum 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry including a minimum of 8 years experience as a Drilling Supervisor / Senior Drilling Supervisor in offshore drilling operations (preferably in Malaysian waters).
Candidate experienced working on Tender Assisted, Semi-Tender Assisted, and Jack-up Rigs.
Candidate experienced working with established operators with good performance reports. Experience working with PETRONAS will be an advantage.
Show experience in all aspects of Well Planning, Drilling Engineering, and Well Completion.
Competent in using drilling software such as Landmark OPENWELLS.
Good English proficiency and able to communicate with locals.
Possess basic computer skills (MS Office or equivalent).
