This is a Senior Architectural Draughtsman position, playing a key role in the preparation, coordination, and quality assurance of detailed architectural drawings and documentation. This role supports architects by translating design concepts into precise technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and guiding junior draughtsmen within the team. It is critical for delivering accurate plans for tender, submission, and construction phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, review, and refine architectural drawings, including authority submission drawings, tender drawings, and construction details, using CAD software.
2. Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and consultants to ensure all drawings accurately reflect design intent and project requirements.
3. Guide, mentor, and supervise junior draughtsmen, providing technical direction and fostering teamwork within the drafting department.
4. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, local authority regulations, and industry standards.
5. Revise and update drawings based on feedback from architects, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
6. Maintain organized records and drawing files for all project stages, ensuring version control and accessibility.
7. Conduct site visits to gather measurements, verify conditions, and resolve on-site discrepancies as needed.
8. Participate in project meetings, contributing technical expertise and supporting design development.

Qualifications and skills:

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in drafting, with at least 3 years in a senior or checking role.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• Strong understanding of construction detailing, material specifications, and local building regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate documentation.
