A leading engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a detail-oriented Drafting Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. Candidates should possess a diploma in Engineering and be proficient in AutoCAD. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
• Basic understanding of developing instrument drawings such as loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management System per ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update detailed drawings following designer redline markups.
• Produce minor markup drawings based on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance in all drafting work.

Responsibilities

• Experience in preparing and updating detailed drawings following designer redline markups and instructions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant drafting tools. Basic knowledge in 3D software (e.g. E3D, SP3D etc.) is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of developing instrument drawings such as loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument layouts, and cable schedules.
• Basic understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and the ability to produce minor markup drawings based on P&IDs.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management System per ISO 9001 and familiarity with work procedures and filing systems used in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow instructions from designers and engineers.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for writing and verbal communication.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in all drafting work.
