Job summary

CoinGecko, a global leader in cryptocurrency data, is seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our Malaysia-based team. You will own and improve systems, define SLAs/SLOs, and scale operations with infra-as-code, ensuring reliability and security.

You will work closely with developers on release planning, incident management, disaster recovery, and on-call support, while mentoring juniors and contributing to runbooks and audits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in managing software deployments and instrumentation in production environments with defined SLAs/SLOs.
• Strong knowledge of software delivery and DevOps principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, CloudFlare, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, InfoSec or similar fields; professional AWS/GCP certificates are a plus.
• Able to take features from concept to shipping as a sole contributor; strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• System Architecture reviews and enforcing best practices across teams.
• Own SLAs/SLOs, monitor metrics, and scale operations with infra-as-code.
• Manage security controls; collaborate with legal/compliance on risk.
• Lead release plans with canaries/blue-green deployments and testing environments.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage day-to-day operations: onboarding, patching, capacity planning.
• Develop runbooks and contribute to audits and technical documentation.
• Mentor juniors and support cross-functional collaboration during deployments.
