The Senior DevOps Engineer position will work collaboratively with software engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to automate deployment and operation of our systems. Responsibilities include automating and streamlining operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting across dev, test, and production environments. DevOps Engineers are involved in the full lifecycle of applications, handling complex and high-visibility tasks supporting multiple projects requiring diverse expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and build IT solutions to meet business needs.
• Integrate solutions with various applications and platforms.
• Design, develop, and implement reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) components.
• Write scripts to automate build and deployment processes on AWS Cloud and on-premise data centers.
• Automate, support, and troubleshoot Linux servers, including deployment and configuration.
• Automate deployment and support of Linux and Windows-based infrastructure services (web, NFS, SFTP, DNS, LDAP, etc.).
• Automate and support cloud network services (load balancers, routers, firewalls).
• Manage deployment of application and infrastructure clusters within a cloud environment using a Cloud Management Platform.
• Monitor and optimize system and application performance.
• Document cloud deployments with run books and architecture diagrams.
• Standardize processes, plan capacity, and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to assess requirements and recommend solutions.
• Maintain QA and production configurations using automation tools.
• Develop and update automated test frameworks.
• Maintain scripts and environments for testing.
• Build automated deployment pipelines for modules, upgrades, and fixes.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and support for production deployment.
• Coordinate with Release Management to ensure readiness.
• Verify component and service functionality to meet client expectations.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 9 to 12 years of analysis and programming experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments.
• Experience working in agile teams.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services is required.
• Experience with Cloud Management Platforms (preferably RightScale).
• Experience configuring Linux and Windows infrastructure services.
• Experience with CI tools like Jenkins or TeamCity.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of security protocols, network security, cryptography, IAM, Active Directory, and ADFS.
• Understanding of load balancers, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, and routing.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch/ELK stack.
• Experience with application servers like JBoss, IIS, WebLogic.
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, XML, and JSON.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• AWS certifications (Associate or Professional) are a plus.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to articulate the value of cloud platform duties.
