Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a senior Data Scientist/Leader to ownData Science for targeted markets, partnering with country teams and clients to drive revenue outcomes. You will translate strategic business needs into advanced analytics using Python, R, and dashboarding tools, while mentoring junior data scientists.

The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation with large data sets, and delivering practical, data-driven insights to impact client decisions and growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maths, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
• 5+ years in market research or related field.
• Solid understanding of CPG/FMCG and retail impact on client business.
• Experience with eCommerce, web-scraping, and consumer data preferred.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Science for specific market/industry on products and services.
• Serve as DS business partner to country leaders and commercial teams.
• Meet with clients to translate business needs into analytical strategies.
• Coach and develop junior data scientists.
• Lead the team and set performance objectives.
• Identify third parties and evaluate data sources for new solutions.
