Job summary

CXS Analytics Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and research initiatives, develop statistical models and uncover insights that drive talent intelligence.

You will mentor fellow Data Scientists, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex workforce data into actionable insights, and champion analytical excellence across the product and research agenda.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, economics, data science or related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Science, Statistics or Quantitative Research.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modelling: regression, time series and survival analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Matplotlib.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks, Git/Bitbucket and cloud data platforms such as AWS.
• Experience in workforce analytics, HR research or labour economics is advantageous.
• Publications or industry reports background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate statistical and predictive models for workforce analytics.
• Conduct econometric and quantitative analysis of labour market data.
• Collaborate with the AI team on machine learning model development.
• Mentor Data Scientists and promote analytical excellence across the team.
• Lead research initiatives on workforce trends and talent intelligence.
• Analyse complex workforce and client data to generate actionable insights.
• Develop research reports, whitepapers and thought leadership content.
• Present research findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Owners to translate analytical insights into product requirements.
• Define metrics and KPIs to measure platform and feature performance.
• Support data quality validation and platform analytics.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support product strategy and development.

• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.

Product & Business Collaboration

• Partner with Product Owners to translate analytical insights into product requirements.
• Define metrics and KPIs to measure platform and feature performance.
• Support data quality validation and platform analytics.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support product strategy and development.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Statistics, Economics, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline.
