Job description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data science and programming, with a passion for solving real-world problems through data. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and maintain data infrastructure, develop and deploy machine learning models, and deliver insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse and data lake.
• Develop and implement data quality and governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Build and maintain data models and data marts to support analysis and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models.
• Optimize and troubleshoot data processing systems to enhance performance and scalability.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain data visualization and reporting dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize data analysis projects.
• Build and maintain statistical models to forecast outcomes and support strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 4 - 5 years of experience in data science, data engineering, or data analysis. Experienced in managing team performance will be an added advantage.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or Java.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
