Job summary

Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad is seeking a data governance professional to drive data quality management and governance across the organization in Kuala Lumpur.

You will define data quality rules, monitor scores, and partner with data owners and stewards to remediate issues while supporting the Data Governance Manager in rolling out Group policies and standards in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or information governance.
• At least 2–3 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
• Professional certifications such as CDMP, DGSP, COBIT, ITIL or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Data Quality Framework in line with regulatory requirement and Group Policy and Standard.
• Define, review and optimize Data Quality Rules, thresholds and monitoring mechanisms.
• Establish risk-based monitoring for Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Drive proactive identification of data quality risks and governance gaps.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure sustainable remediation of recurring issues.
• Define and implement preventive, detective and corrective controls to improve data quality.
• Act as the SME on Data Quality Management.
