Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc in Malaysia seeks a Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake) to design and optimize ELT pipelines, build analytics-ready data models and improve reliability across ingestion, orchestration and monitoring.

You will design and support ETL/ELT pipelines with Snowflake, develop batch and streaming data transformations, tune performance, implement orchestration and CI/CD practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Snowflake expertise across ingestion, transformation, modeling and analytics workloads.
• Advanced SQL capability with complex transformations, tuning and validation checks.
• ETL and ELT delivery experience including incremental loads and CDC patterns.
• Azure Data Factory for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring and integrations.
• Python for data processing, automation and pipeline tooling.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling.
• Snowflake features like virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks, RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support ETL and ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Azure data services.
• Develop ingestion and transformation processes for batch and incremental loads.
• Model analytics-ready datasets to support reporting and business analysis needs.
• Write and maintain SQL and Python transformations, validations and reusable components.
• Tune Snowflake performance across warehouses, queries, loading and cost efficiency.
• Implement orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, alerting and recovery patterns.
• Embed engineering practices across testing, deployment, CI/CD, documentation and data quality.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, pairing and shared standards.
