Job summary

QL Resources Berhad is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate the enterprise data platform on Microsoft Fabric. You will enable analytics, AI, and self-service BI across the organisation, working with Lakehouse architecture, data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Data Science or related field is required.
• 4–6 years of hands-on data engineering/BI/analytics experience are expected.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise data pipelines and analytics platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL, Python and PySpark.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate enterprise data platform on Lakehouse architecture.
• Ingest data from ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, finance and other systems.
• Design, schedule and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines for timely data delivery.
• Apply governance, access controls and data quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions and self-service BI.
• Mentor junior teammates and raise data literacy across teams.
• Support performance optimization and cost efficiency of the data platform.
