Job summary

Plaza Premium Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join the BI & Analytics team to design and maintain data pipelines on AWS, build datasets for reporting, and support migrating reporting solutions to Amazon QuickSight.

The role emphasizes strong SQL foundation, Python scripting, data warehousing concepts, and collaboration with business users and technology teams to deliver trusted analytics. Training and mentoring junior data engineers is included.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Analytics development.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Experience working with cloud technologies or willingness to learn AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services.

You will work on cloud-based data solutions, support our analytics modernization journey, and help deliver trusted datasets and dashboards that enable data-driven decision making across the business. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in SQL and data engineering who is excited to learn modern AWS technologies, Amazon QuickSight, and AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or similar platforms.
