Job summary

Plaza Premium Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join the BI & Analytics team to design and maintain data pipelines on AWS, build datasets for reporting, and support migrating reporting solutions to Amazon QuickSight.

The role emphasizes strong SQL foundation, Python scripting, data warehousing concepts, and collaboration with business users and technology teams to deliver trusted analytics. Training and mentoring junior data engineers is included.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Analytics development.
• Experience with Python or another scripting language.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Experience working with cloud technologies or willingness to learn AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services.
• Build and optimize datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Support the migration of reporting solutions to Amazon QuickSight.
• Develop and maintain data models, data marts, and reporting datasets.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and quality across analytics solutions.
• Troubleshoot data issues and continuously improve existing processes.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity and code quality.
• Contribute to data engineering best practices, documentation, and automation initiatives.
• Mentor and train junior data engineers for skills development and performance improvement.
