Job summary

DayOne is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee electrical systems in our data centres and lead a cross-functional team in a 24/7 operation. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement of power infrastructure including PDUs, UPS, generators and switchgear.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years in electrical engineering with leadership experience, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading technical teams in 24/7 data-centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of data centre electrical infrastructure and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems in data centres.
• Ensure reliability of PDUs, UPS, generators and switchgear with safe practices.
• Lead, mentor and develop electrical engineers and technicians; coordinate 24/7 coverage.
• Plan preventative and corrective maintenance; manage vendor and contractor activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations; maintain documentation.
