Job Title: Senior Credit Controller
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid)
About the role:
We are hiring a Senior Credit Controller to join our dynamic Finance team in Kuala Lumpur.
As Credit Controller, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong working capital performance across the region. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Malaysia, the Philippines, and other markets to support healthy cash flow, reduce overdue balances, and maintain high standards of credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payments, following up on overdue invoices via phone, email, and written communication.
Negotiate payment plans and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, setting credit limits in line with company policies.
Investigate and resolve invoice disputes in close collaboration with finance, operations, and billing teams to minimise overdue balances.
Perform weekly cash reconciliation for Philippines bank accounts, ensuring accurate allocation and updates to monitoring reports.
Prepare and analyse aged debt reports, update follow-up statuses, and provide regular updates to management on outstanding debts and risks.
Conduct weekly invoice reconciliations of trade debtor balances and customer accounts to resolve discrepancies.
Support and maintain BSI Group’s credit control governance and credit risk management framework.
Ensure compliance with company policies and credit control procedures.
Track and report working capital metrics, proactively supporting cash flow performance.
Engage with internal stakeholders and customers to achieve timely resolution of outstanding receivables.
About You:
Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or cash management roles, ideally within a shared services or regional environment.
Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks and collection processes.
Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
Detail-oriented, highly organised, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
