Job summary

A leading investment bank in Malaysia is seeking a Credit Analyst to evaluate investment opportunities and assess credit risks. This role involves collaboration with investment teams, preparing proposals, and contributing to policy enhancements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance or equivalent, along with relevant experience in credit analysis.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis.
  • CFA qualification is an added advantage.
  • Well-versed with corporate credit risk analysis/evaluation.

  • Evaluate and recommend purchase and sale opportunities for fixed income securities.
  • Prepare and present credit proposals and investment recommendations.
  • Continuously monitor the investment portfolio for credit risks.

Evaluate and recommend viable purchase and sale opportunities for fixed income securities, and establish new counterparty limits.

Collaborate with the trading and investment teams to identify and assess credit opportunities.

Prepare and present credit proposals and investment recommendations for review and approval by the Credit Risk Committee.

Stay informed of the latest regulatory guidelines and contribute to ongoing credit policy enhancements.

Support the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors into credit assessments and recommendations.

Continuously monitor the investment portfolio to identify and mitigate potential credit risks.

Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Requirements

Possess Bachelor Degree in Business Studies, Finance, Accounting or any equivalent.

Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis.

CFA would be an added advantage.

Well-versed with corporate credit risk analysis/evaluation.

Good business writing and presentation skills.

Self-motivated and team player.
