Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager MEP in Malaysia to lead cost control across large, complex projects. You will analyse cost reports, prepare budgets, and manage project costs, driving value engineering and procurement decisions.

The role requires strong communication, deep MEP knowledge, and accountability in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with senior management, review performance, and mentor teams while supporting international projects.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive cost management experience, preferably on large complex projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and ability to read services drawings and schematics.
• RICS chartered or on the path to chartership with support to achieve it.
• Degree in construction, quantity surveying, mechanical or electrical engineering.

Overview

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Analyse cost reports and regularly review with senior management
• Conduct budget preparation including detailed cost modelling and benchmarking analysis, and reviews with senior management
• Manage project costs against budget throughout your project, including cost reviews, value engineering, and cost saving initiatives to increase client value
• Monitor the financial close-out on all projects including settlement of all vendors
• Oversee and provide guidance on commercial change management and change evaluation efforts
• Oversee the RFPs through to procurement for project services and products
• Proactively lead all commercial risk management efforts
• Review analytics for project portfolio cash flow and earned value analysis

• Have extensive cost management experience, ideally from a consultancy background working on large and complex projects
• Have an understanding of MEP Systems and ability to read services drawings and schematics
• Are RICS chartered or are on the path to complete it - we can help
• Have a degree or comparable qualification in construction, quantity surveying, mechanical or electrical engineering
• Have a strong sense of ownership and accountability, and thrive in a fast paced environment
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail oriented and quality focused
