Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management for Port Dickson projects. You will oversee tendering, cost planning, budgeting, and change management, ensuring clients receive best value. The role requires strong communication and the ability to mentor teams on on-site cost control and reporting.

On-site work in Port Dickson and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams are essential. Chartered status or active progression toward it is preferred, with support available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management including budget control and cost planning.
• Chartered status or on the path to qualification with support to achieve it.

Responsibilities

• Participate in tender/bid processes from documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage change processes: identify, analyze, approve, and implement cost changes.
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in final accounts and claims to ensure client value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for client developments.
• Oversee project spend, valuations, and cost reporting; communicate variations.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process--from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting
• Manage the change management process - identifying , analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect the project cost
• Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication
• Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency
• Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership

• Have experience in pre - contract cost management while be ing experienced in budget control, cost planning, prepar ing and initiat ing change forms for discussion with other project stakeholders wh ile be ing knowledgeable on alternative construction material s
• Are comfortable working on site at Port Dickson
• Are chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
