Job Responsibilities
- Assist with working capital financing and project financing structuring, origination, documentation and completion.
- Assist with debt capital markets (Sukuk/bond) execution – including credit rating, issuance, redemption, and required compliance.
- Assist with execution for equity capital markets related corporate exercises, including documents to regulatory authorities such as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and Securities Commissions Malaysia.
- Assist with execution for various other debt, equity, hybrid/structured instruments.
- Assist with divestments, mergers and acquisitions exercises, including structuring, due diligence, completion, post mergers and acquisitions integration.
- Assist with internal projects and investment evaluation process through preparation and review of financial models, board papers, and analysis.
- Assist with any other corporate finance related transactions, including legal documents (term sheets, SPAs/SSAs, SHAs), due diligence processes, corporate proposals and investment opportunities evaluation.
- Participate in discussions and negotiations with investors, lenders/financial institutions, legal counsels, advisors, various external and internal parties across functions (finance, tax, legal, operations) and across the regions/countries we operate in.
Minimum Requirements
- Preferably 2 to 3 years (3 to 5 years for AM role) of relevant work experience in professional advisory firms, consulting firms, investment banks. Background in corporate finance / financial advisory / investment banking / M&A.
- Good proficiency in financial modelling for the purpose of valuation, IRR, DCF, M&A, capital budgeting, project financing.
- Strong technical skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure, Independent Power Producer, or other similar long term financing projects is an added advantage.
- Ability to bring attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
