Job summary

AFFIN BANK BERHAD in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced banking professional to assist the Head of Department in corporate loan acquisitions and team leadership. The role focuses on originating deals, managing risk, and driving portfolio profitability while ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will mentor and develop junior staff, coordinate with multiple units, and deliver executive summaries for credit reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience in auditing will be an added advantage.
• Professional credit certifications such as PCC, CCE, BCP or Chartered Banker are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience with corporate banking and credit risk exposure.

Responsibilities

• Credit acquisition: originate deals, wallet sizing and cross‑selling within risk framework.
• Account profitability: maximise earnings and monitor revenue performance across portfolios.
• Client relationship management: build high‑value client base and own the relationship.
• Service management: ensure timely annual reviews and quality credit processing.
• Staff development: mentor ARM(s) and identify training needs.
• Compliance: adhere to AML/KYC, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
