Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Senior Developer for Credit & Provisions, AS400, COBOL, and RPG within Core Banking. You will handle end-to-end development and support for multiple banking applications including Limits, Collaterals, Provisioning, and Global CIF, while delivering projects on time.

The role requires 6–9 years of Core Banking experience and strong AS400/IBM i skills, including RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL, COBOL, and DB2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6–9 years of Core Banking support and development.
• Strong AS400/IBM i development experience: RPGLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL, COBOL, DB2.
• Experience with ARCAD and Rational Developer for i (RDi).
• Knowledge of Global CIF systems and customer data management.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and service environments.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices is advantageous.
• Leadership, vendor management, or people management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end software development and support for transitioned Group projects.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications on AS400/IBM i.
• Create design docs, solution specs, and project deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects and change requests in parallel.
• Review code changes and ensure standards compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and stakeholders.
• Perform root-cause analysis and participate in production support.
