Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Development: Lead the ideation and execution of content strategies that align with brand goals and audience engagement. Provide creative direction for various content types across multiple industries.
- High-Impact Copywriting: Craft persuasive and engaging copy for a wide range of platforms, including websites, social media, marketing campaigns, product descriptions, and long-form content like articles and whitepapers—in both English and Chinese.
- Bilingual Content Creation & Communication: Develop compelling content in both English and Chinese while maintaining cultural and contextual accuracy. Communicate effectively with clients and team members in both languages as needed.
- Brand Messaging & Tone: Ensure all content maintains a consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels. Develop and refine brand guidelines for copywriting.
- SEO & Performance Optimization: Write content that is not only compelling but also optimized for search engines and conversion. Stay updated on best practices to drive traffic and engagement.
- Editing & Quality Control: Review and refine content to ensure clarity, consistency, and grammatical accuracy. Provide constructive feedback to junior writers and marketing team members.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and product teams to create compelling narratives that support business objectives. Guide teams on messaging best practices.
- Industry Research & Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of content marketing trends, industry news, and audience insights to inform content strategies and maintain competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken) with strong translation and transcreation skills—ability to craft compelling content in both languages while maintaining cultural and contextual accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or related roles, with a proven track record of delivering impactful content across diverse industries. Agency experience is preferred but we welcome talented writers from all backgrounds (in-house, freelance, etc.).
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to craft content that aligns with brand and business goals.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Experience with SEO, digital marketing, and content analytics tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in mentoring or leading junior writers is a bonus.
