Job Description

SENIOR CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ)

• Lead and oversee conveyancing matters, including Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), loan and security documentation, and related correspondences.
• Manage files from initial stage until VP/Legal Possession handover.
• Liaise with clients, bankers, developers, and government authorities (Registrar of Titles, Stamp Office, LHDN, etc.).
• Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on conveyancing matters.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior lawyers and conveyancing clerks in file management and drafting.
• Attend SPA and loan documentation signings.
• Conduct and oversee legal research related to property law and conveyancing issues.

JUNIOR CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ/KL)

• Draft and handle Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), loan documentation, and related correspondences.
• Manage conveyancing files independently from start to completion.
• Liaise with clients, bankers, developers, and government authorities (Registrar of Titles, Stamp Office, LHDN, etc.).
• Provide legal opinions and advice on conveyancing matters and loan drawdowns.
• Conduct SPA and loan documentation signings.
• Perform legal research to support conveyancing transactions.

PUPILLAGE (PJ/KL)

• Assist in drafting sale and purchase agreements, loan documents, and related letters.
• Conduct land and company searches, and basic due diligence.
• Handle document filing, and tracking deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, banks, developers, and relevant authorities.
• Assist with stamping, submission, and registration of documents (e.g. e-Tanah, LHDN).
• Attend meetings and document signings with supervising lawyer.
• Perform legal research and support administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

SENIOR CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ)

• Possesses an LLB degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in conveyancing practice.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; able to lead a team.
• Dedicated, responsible, and committed to long-term practice growth.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Malay and English.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and client management skills with a positive work attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; must have own transport.
• Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage for interacting with Mandarin-speaking clients.

JUNIOR CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ/KL)

• Possesses an LLB degree.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in conveyancing practice.
• Dedicated, responsible, and committed to the role.
• Proficient in both written and spoken Malay and English.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; must have own transport.
