Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Technician (Mechanic) with strong expertise in servicing and repairing Continental vehicles such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues and committed to delivering quality workmanship.

The role requires 3–8 years hands-on experience, with proven service on European makes.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably with Continental vehicles.
• Experience servicing BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, or other European makes.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems.
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, ECUs, and infotainment systems.
• Proficient in using advanced automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills; Mandarin speaker is preferred.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced workshop.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on Continental vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Carry out high-quality repairs and maintenance on engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle systems, including ADAS, ECUs, sensors, wiring, and infotainment systems.
• Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, including diagnostic findings, parts used, and labour performed.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality control standards before vehicle handover.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and automotive repair best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Continental vehicle technologies through continuous learning and training.
