Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive consultancy and advisory assistance to MEF members on diverse employment-related issues.
Represent members during Collective Agreement negotiations with unions.
Attend conciliation proceedings at the Industrial Relations Department on behalf of members.
Represent members in hearings at both the Labour Court and Industrial Court.
Conduct training courses in Industrial Relations and Labour Laws for MEF members.
Organize and service monthly regional meetings, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
Prepare position papers, conduct research, and provide insights into Human Resources and Industrial Relations topics to support MEF’s mission.
Lead and manage key assignments/projects related on labour laws and employment matters.
Attend key meetings and contribute to various initiatives assigned by the Chief Executive or Senior General Manager
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial relations or related field and those experiences in handling IR cases at the IR/Labour Court are highly advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Strong negotiation and representation skills
Strong leadership skills to guide, advise and support members
Strong understanding of the key principles of employment laws
Knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software
Possess strong ethics, morals and sound judgement
