Job summary

TRIIIO VERTEX SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer / Compliance Manager to lead corporate compliance, regulatory oversight, ESG initiatives and data protection strategies.

In this high-visibility role you will oversee Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, act as Data Protection Officer, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with governance and internal audit to shape an in-house risk and compliance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in compliance, corporate governance, legal support, or risk management.
• Demonstrated expertise in Data Protection / DPO regulations and core compliance framework execution.
• Prior experience within a Bursa Malaysia listed company or public listed environment is advantageous.
• Strong contract review capabilities, analytical mindset, integrity, and proactive risk balancing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory obligations, licensing, permits, and alignment with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and statutory disclosures.
• Serve as designated DPO, driving PDPA and privacy compliance across business units.
• Lead ESG framework, data collection, and Annual Financial Report disclosures.
• Oversee corporate secretarial filings, statutory registers, and support in-house audit capability development.
• Manage contract repositories, license renewals, and coordinate with Legal on tender reviews and legal documents.
• Supervise the daily work of the Compliance Officer.

What You Will Be Doing

Regulatory & Bursa Compliance: Oversee regulatory obligations, licensing, permits, and ensure full alignment with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, compliance calendars, and statutory disclosures.

Data Protection Officer (DPO): Serve as a designated DPO, driving personal data protection (PDPA), data privacy frameworks, incident responses, and privacy compliance across all business units.

ESG & Sustainability: Lead the company's overall ESG framework, coordinate sustainability data collection, and lead the compilation of the Annual Financial Report disclosures.

Governance & Internal Audit: Oversee corporate secretarial filings, statutory registers, and work with outsourced internal auditors while supporting the transition toward an in-house audit capability.

Contracts & Risk Support: Manage contract repositories, license renewals, and support the Legal Associate on tender reviews and legal documentation.

Leadership: Supervise, guide, and review the daily work of the Compliance Officer.

What We Are Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in compliance, corporate governance, legal support, or risk management.

Key Focus: Demonstrated expertise in Data Protection / DPO regulations and core compliance framework execution.

Industry Exposure: Prior experience within a Bursa Malaysia listed company or a public listed environment is highly advantageous.

Core Competencies: Strong contract review capabilities, sharp analytical skills, high integrity, and a proactive approach to balancing business goals with regulatory standards.
