Job Title: Senior Communication Specialist (JG7) – Malaysia

Department: Human Resources

Position Overview:
The Senior Communication Specialist will be responsible for internal communications, coordinating and potentially facilitating various team engagement events. This will include all of the logistics required to plan a successful event from facility planning, catering coordination and overall employee experience at those events. This role will also focus on driving overall engagement of new joiners and assisting the recruiting team with recruitment events by building different marketing materials that advertise Insulet to potential joiners.

Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD) is an innovative medical device company dedicated to making the lives of people with diabetes easier. Through its OmniPod Insulin Management System, Insulet seeks to expand the use of insulin pump therapy among people with insulin-dependent diabetes. Insulet's Delivery Systems business also partners with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to tailor the OmniPod technology platform for the delivery of subcutaneous drugs across multiple therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a variety of internal communications including newsletters, video messages and general communications
  • Responsible for creating communications to connect to non-networked (DL) employees.
  • Partner with Plant Leadership Team (PLT) to build executive level presentations and communications
  • Partner with the HR function to build an external marketing campaign to attract top talent to IMY
  • Partner with site leadership to coordinate engagement events throughout the year.
  • Design and implement activities and internal campaigns aligned with the local needs, using data such as the engagement survey, turnover rates and direct feedback from employees and managers.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or event planning
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • 3-5+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Curiosity for understanding new and innovative ways to reach audiences
  • Outstanding written skills and the ability to create high-quality content
  • Attention to detail, passion for branding and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for storytelling and inspiring audiences
  • Tech-savvy and familiarity with communication tracking and basic sharepoint design and management
  • Highly proficient in using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Graphic design background would be a plus to ensure all communications look as polished as possible
  • Experience with basic video editing to compile some quick messages to allow for a wide variety of communication methods
  • Experience directly with Microsoft Teams and/or Sharepoint
  • Dependable, highly organized, and very detail oriented – strong focus on accuracy, quality, and timeliness while handling multiple tasks.
  • Possess strong problem resolution and project management skills.
  • Ability to act independently, use discretionary judgment and work with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong professional judgement and critical thinking.
  • Takes an active role in helping to foster a team-oriented environment within the Plant.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Communicates clearly, effectively, and professionally both verbally and in writing.
