Job summary

G-AsiaPacific seeks a Cloud Technical Engineer to analyze client infrastructures and design cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. You will configure resources, implement CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure with IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.

You will also help modernize applications, ensure security and scalability, and explore new cloud technologies like DevOps, data analytics and AI/ML. English required in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services.
• Require 2 years and above working experience in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Ability to design scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms are preferred but not mandatory.
• Hands-on expertise in deployment and administering cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Required language(s): English

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in analyzing their existing application infrastructure architecture and propose a suitable cloud platform and architecture.
• Design and architect cloud-based solutions that meet client requirements, including infrastructure setup, data management, security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Configure and deploy cloud resources such as VMs, storage, networking, and containers following best practices.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD; automate builds, tests and deployment.
• Use IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure and version control configurations.
• Install, configure, test, and administer Windows and Linux in cloud environments.
• Assist customers in modernizing software applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Troubleshoot, manage and report problem resolution including root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and contractors to promote customer satisfaction and data security.
• Explore new cloud technology especially in DevOps, Data Analytics, AI/ML, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in analyzing their existing application infrastructure architecture and to propose a suitable cloud platform and architecture which meets their needs.
• Cloud solution design: Design and architect cloud-based solutions that align with client requirements, including infrastructure setup, data management, security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Cloud infrastructure setup: Configure and deploy cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage, networking components, and containers, following best practices and security guidelines.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD. Automate code builds, testing, and deployment processes. Ensure the pipeline is robust, secure, and efficient.
• Configuration Management: Use infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure. Maintain and version control configuration files for infrastructure components.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and administer Operating Systems such as (Windows & Linux) within cloud environments.
• Assist customers in modernize their software applications from traditional infrastructure to cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, Google GCP)
• Assist in troubleshooting, managing, and reporting problem resolution, including root cause analysis.
• Work with other engineers and contractors to promote customer and user satisfaction while optimizing data security.
• Explore new cloud technology and innovations. Especially in DevOps, Data Analytics, AL/ML, Etc.

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline or equivalent.
