The Senior Cloud & System Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud environments. This includes overseeing data centers, network systems, backup and recovery solutions, security protocols, and systems optimization to ensure high availability and performance for business operations.
What You Will Do
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer, support, and manage Data Center, Backup/Restore processes, Hardware, Operating Systems, Endpoint Security, Networks, and Office Automation.
- Design and implement server architectures using both physical and cloud-based infrastructures.
- Perform system administration tasks in a Windows Active Directory environment, including user access policies and system configuration.
Monitoring and Support
- Monitor and maintain server and storage infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability.
- Regularly test backup and recovery plans to verify system reliability.
- Provide technical support for network and system incidents, including after-hours support if needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents; identify root causes, document issues, and implement preventive measures.
Cloud Solutions & Security
- Collaborate with development teams to evaluate and deploy optimal cloud solutions.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions aligned with security policies and industry best practices.
- Identify and resolve cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Educate teams on new cloud initiatives and provide related training as needed.
Operations & Documentation
- Prepare accurate technical documentation to support implementation, operations, and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory and asset configuration documentation.
- Participate in system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Enforce information security and compliance policies across all systems.
Client Engagement
- Provide cloud-related support to clients and offer recommendations based on specific needs.
What You Will Need
Academic Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure or systems engineering.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in system administration (Windows Server or Linux) and SQL database scripting.
- Hands-on knowledge of network infrastructure: IP routing, switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and Radius servers.
- Familiar with Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experienced in preparing technical documentation.
- Experience with backup/recovery, CI/CD systems, or DevOps practices is a plus.
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Skills in scripting languages (like Python, Bash, PowerShell) and IaC tools (such as Terraform or CloudFormation) will be a major advantage

Certifications (Preferred)
- Any certification from a major CSP (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Service, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Any industry-recognized networking certification for on-premises infrastructure (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.).
