Job Description

The Team

This team is responsible to deliver network services that connect everything within SEEK APAC from digital perspective. This includes Internet, WiFi, remote connectivity, internal data networks, data centre and cloud connectivity. Opportunity to work with diversified team within SEEK; Security, Architecture and Platform Engineering.

About The Role

As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and improving high performance enterprise scale network for SEEK. You will play a key role in design, deployment, managing and optimizing of on-premises and cloud network.

Responsibilities

1. Design, implement and maintain enterprise-scale network and architecture
2. Design security patterns for cloud, internal and production networks as well as implement network security initiatives
3. Manage the lifecycle of network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers etc.
4. Ensure network performance is optimal and appropriate security controls are in place
5. Network troubleshooting and fault analysis
6. Configuration and support of networking between on premise and Azure/AWS cloud
7. Engage with both internal & wider development teams to deliver solutions
8. Provide technical mentorship across a wide range of teams and cultures
9. Keep abreast of new tools and practices and recommend their suitability to ensure the organisation uses the best available technology to improve efficiency.
10. Ensure SLAs are met for all IT systems and services
11. Identify areas of risk and proactively seek solutions to mitigate impacts to service and availability.
12. Evaluate processes to improve productivity and efficiency
13. Build and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors
14. Be able to work on-call as rostered or after hours

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

1. Proven network experience working in cloud and on-prem environment, including design, deploy, support and documentation
2. In-depth knowledge of on-prem networking environment (VXLAN, BGP-EVPN, Multicast, L3VPN and etc)
3. Solid experience in AWS/Azure networks (NATGW, IGW, VGW, TGW, CloudWAN, VPC peering and etc)
4. Knowledge in inter-connectivity between cloud and/or on-prem network best practises (Network Manager, VPC sharing, VPC Lattice, Private Link, Transit VPC and etc)
5. Automation and IaC skills (Ansible, Python, Terraform, Cloud Formation etc)
6. Network Security skills (Firewall, NAC, etc)
7. Strong and analytical problem-solving skills
8. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
9. Capable of working independently and in a collaborative team environment to tackle problem
10. Ability to lead and mentor peers by providing guidance and support
11. Relevant vendor certifications will be highly regarded (CCIE, AWS, PNCSE, etc)
