Job summary

SSTCM is seeking a Laboratory Operations & Technical Support professional in Malaysia to lead quality control for raw materials, in-process checks, and final inspections. You will supervise the lab, ensure calibration and documentation accuracy, and drive cross-functional resolution of quality issues with Production and Warehouse teams.

You will develop and maintain COAs, SOPs, and ISO-related documentation, while reviewing SDS, TDS, COAs, and other regulatory files for materials and products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Engineering (Chemical) or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field are preferable.
• Must be a Registered Chemist with Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM).

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor all quality control functions for raw materials, in-process checks, and final product inspections.
• Execute and maintain robust QC systems, SOPs, and quality KPIs.
• Provide continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis, or similar methodologies.
• Supervise laboratory operations, ensuring proper calibration, testing accuracy, and documentation.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to resolve quality issues and improve product standards.
• Prepare and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for SSTCM products.
• Develop, implement, and routinely update ISO-related documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process flows, tool certifications and calibrations, testing protocols, and reporting formats).
• Review regulatory documents (SDS, TDS, COAs) for incoming raw materials and finished goods.
