Job description

  • Business Analysts (BA) amalgamate strong business knowledge and a value creation mindset to conceptualise, design, pitch and deliver best in market, first in bank business outcomes for the end-user (internal and external).
  • The process to reach these business design outcomes will necessitate the BA to be experienced in
    • Requirements gathering via workshop, survey, questionnaire, role shadowing, discussion etc
    • Identification of pain points, gaps, opportunities for improvement or change with a mind to reengineer and redesign for greater efficiency, and higher value add
    • Conduct value chain analysis and understand operational processes for optimization and improved cost benefits.
    • Critical analysis and research skills to identify and prioritise business requirements, proactively ideate, understand existing and potential Malaysia/Global market drivers and trends, advise and recommend solutions
    • Developing and delivering sound pitches and presentations to support his/her recommendations based on best practices, design thinking and competitor analysis
    • Strong engagement with business stakeholders, technical teams and senior management to fully support the business goal
  • Support the Business squad in proposals of the To-Be process with Compliance, Audit, Risk and Legal Governance teams to obtain approval of new solutions with a keen understanding of risk and legal mitigation measures.
  • Relentlessly champion end-to-end customer journeys that focus on customer centricity and deliver excellence in customer experience
  • Hands-on experience with the Agile way of working, Scrum, usage of Jira, Figma, Confluence, writing of user stories, acceptance criteria, usability testing. Flexible, resilient and adaptable working styles are mandatory.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and conduct change training and knowledge transfer for Change and Implementation including the building of FAQs, How-to Manuals with relevant Change and Communication teams.
  • Very strong communication skills (verbal, written, storytelling, presentation, negotiation, etc) with the ability to articulate and translate complex ideas into meaningful information for different audiences
  • Identifies as an Early Digital Adopter with a curious mind in utilising digital opportunities in new and novel approaches in the Banking Industry.
  • Collaborate with the Agile squad as a self-organising empowered team, with overall guidance from Product Owner or Direct Section Head.
  • Unafraid to make decisions and challenge antiquated, non-high performance ideas.
