Are you a results-driven brand leader with a passion for consumer marketing and category growth? A respected player in the FMCG sector is seeking a Senior Brand Manager to lead end-to-end brand and trade marketing initiatives across high-impact categories for Singapore. (This role is responsible for the Singapore market, however, based in Malaysia).
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive 360° brand plans and campaigns aligned with business goals.
- Drive initiatives across creative, media, promotions, shopper marketing, trials, and consumer relationship management.
- Ensure consistent brand expression across all channels.
- Lead performance reviews and provide actionable insights through monthly/quarterly/annual business updates.
- Execute brand operations in line with approved plans and budgets.
2. Consumer & Market Insights
- Leverage consumer data to shape compelling concepts that resonate with target audiences.
- Analyze market and competitor trends to anticipate shifts and guide strategic responses.
- Lead quarterly or ad hoc competitor reviews to identify threats and opportunities.
3. Agency Collaboration
- Manage day-to-day coordination with creative, media, PR, event, and promotional agencies.
- Align agency performance with KPIs and ensure timely, high-quality execution of campaigns.
4. Budget & P&L Responsibility
- Act as brand P&L owner and manage the marketing budget for optimal efficiency.
- Continuously assess investment effectiveness and recommend improvements where needed.
5. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Alignment
- Build and nurture a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across commercial, digital, trade, and e-commerce teams.
- Lead by example with integrity, professionalism, and values-driven leadership.
- Set KPIs aligned with company brand and business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or middle management role.
- Strong understanding of the Singapore market and local consumer landscape.
- Solid experience in brand marketing, digital, shopper, and trade marketing.
- Proven success managing external agencies and campaign execution.
- Proficient in e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Lazada.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident decision-maker who can influence, lead teams, and resolve challenges effectively.
- Hands-on approach with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to execution.
