Overview
Recruiting senior civil (architectural, structural, infrastructure) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and Process BIM modellers who will be responsible for developing BIM models, 5D quantity take-off, and information input for projects such as water treatment plants, transportation projects, hydropower stations, thermal power stations, etc. Provide high-quality and efficient model and data support for projects to ensure project BIM delivery.
Responsibilities
- Independently complete the BIM models by using Revit or Bentley softwares, ensuring the model quality meets project requirements.
- Analyze the work materials for modeling, communicate the technical requirement details with the BIM coordinator, and complete modeling tasks with strict adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary models, perform civil clash detection, propose optimization solutions, and generate comprehensive clash reports.
- Independently use Navisworks, Synchro, or other 4D software to perform construction schedule simulations, ensuring alignment with the actual construction plan.
- Utilize models to produce drawings for field guidance. Based on technical documents, perform 5D quantity take-offs, manage data integration, and implement VDC applications.
- Participate in VDC meetings, report model progress and issues, and record model issues and solutions proposed by the client.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to clarify technical requirements and maintain reusable model data structures.
- Establish and enhance project-specific BIM standards including component libraries, naming conventions, and data protocols.
- Optimize BIM standards to drive technology implementation and process efficiency improvements.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior modellers through hands-on training and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver BIM software (Autodesk/Bentley) technical support and complex issue resolution for project teams.
- Proactively explore emerging BIM technologies through software testing and adoption to enhance modeling productivity.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Mandarin, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal co-workers.
- Proficient in 4D simulation software (Navisworks, Synchro, etc.) and BIM modeling software (Revit, Bentley series, etc.).
- Excellent BIM software proficiency including Revit, Navisworks, and at least one Bentley software (OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, Open Building Designer, OpenPlant Modeller).
- Have a civil engineering or MEP-related educational background and hold a bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of BIM modeller working experience; design or construction experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
