An award-winning full service law firm is seeking a Senior Bid Manager to work within the national tenders and bids team and lead activity across the UK. This position offers high-level exposure to the partnership and has a key focus across all sectors, service lines, and offices. You will report to the Associate Directors and will be based in any of the firm’s offices.

The Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively work as part of a team to identify and log opportunities for bid planning, scoping, and drafting responses.
  • Take ownership and lead on bid planning, preparation, delivery, debrief, and all aspects of bid responses.
  • Coach teams in rehearsing for presentations and interviews, and lead internal and external debriefs.
  • Drive bids forward through well-planned, controlled processes using project management skills.
  • Contribute to best practices on win strategy for each bid, including consideration of commercial strategies and the reasons for adopting those strategies.
  • Work with lawyers to formulate models for attractive and profitable offers.

The Candidate:

  • Experience managing bids in a law firm.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong time and project management skills to create and manage complex plans.
  • Ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and influencing skills.
