Job summary

Tentacle Tech in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Software Developer to design, build, and support critical applications within the Ambit Focus ecosystem for a banking sector client.

Based onsite in Kuala Lumpur, you will contribute to solution development, system support, and stakeholder collaboration, translating business requirements into technical specs and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of experience in application development and SDLC, banking environment preferred.
• Hands-on knowledge of MSSQL Integration/Analysis Services, T-SQL, C#, VBScript, PowerShell, and Windows scripting.
• Experience with Windows/Unix servers, SQL databases, and Web/DB server architectures.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications within the Ambit Focus ecosystem, including data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes.
• Customize and configure Ambit Focus screens, workflows, forms, and reports based on business requirements.
• Integrate Ambit Focus with external systems and third-party banking applications via APIs, file-based interfaces, or middleware.
• Provide expert-level production support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver and maintain solutions.
• Support system testing, regression testing, UAT, and go-live activities for upgrades and patch deployments.
