Job summary

Accenture in Malaysia is seeking a Senior API & Microservices Developer to design, develop, and enhance API-driven and microservices-based solutions within WAM and OPI platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance services using Java Spring Boot and API management technologies.

The streams include API Gateway (WAM) or Java Microservices (OPI) based on expertise. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, support API management

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of Java development or API/microservices development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java Spring Boot (mandatory).
• Java Spring Boot microservices development (mandatory one of the two).
• Strong experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with Oracle 12c/19c and/or Cassandra DB.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
• Develop and support API management solutions using Axway API Manager, API Gateway, or equivalent platforms (Apigee, Kong, Layer 7).
• Build scalable backend services for enterprise banking applications (WAM/OPI).
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure API security, performance, and reliability across environments.
• Work on integration with Oracle 12c/19c databases and/or Cassandra DB.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical solutioning.
• Follow SDLC, coding standards, and DevOps best practices.

We are seeking a Senior API & Microservices Developer to design, develop, and enhance API-driven and microservices-based solutions within WAM and OPI platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performance services using Java Spring Boot and API management technologies. Candidates may be aligned to either API Gateway (WAM) or Java Microservices (OPI) streams depending on expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot
• Develop and support API management solutions using Axway API Manager, API Gateway, or equivalent platforms (Apigee, Kong, Layer 7)
• Build scalable backend services for enterprise banking applications (WAM/OPI)

• Exposure to monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Splunk, Prometheus)
• Understanding of banking domain applications (WAM/OPI systems)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsBasic scripting knowledge (Shell scripting)
