Senior Audit Associate

About the role

Chengco PLT is seeking experienced Audit Associates to join our growing team in Melaka. As an Audit Associate, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality audit and assurance services to our diverse client base. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing audit procedures, including substantive testing and analytical review, to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of financial statements
2. Identifying and documenting audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions
3. Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and other client deliverables
4. Collaborating with the engagement team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of audit projects
5. Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
6. Providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships with key stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Relevant experience in external auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm or a similar environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify risks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and team members
• Proficiency in using audit software and data analytics tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
