Senior Associate, Litigation

To be part of the Litigation sub-function in maximizing BPMB’s recovery efforts by executing, managing and monitoring assigned portfolio via litigation process and/or various enforcement modes.

To be part of the Litigation sub-function, to assist the Head, Litigation in maximizing BPMB’s recovery efforts by executing, managing and monitoring assigned portfolio via litigation process and/or various enforcement modes, including (but not limited to) the following tasks:

1. Issuance of legal notices and initiating legal actions against customers, security parties, and any relevant parties.
2. Enforcement, monitoring, ownership of litigation actions against customers, security parties, and any relevant parties (‘in personam’ actions).
3. Enforcement, monitoring, ownership of litigation actions against properties/assets/securities charged to BPMB (‘in rem’ actions).
4. Handling of defence work involving BPMB as a defendant, as and when the need arises.
5. Handling of requests by the Law Enforcement Agencies on consultation with Head, Recovery and Head, Litigation.
6. Collaborative work in MFRS 9/Loss Given Default model validation (up to conclusion of the project).
7. Assistance to sub-functions within Recovery in matters related to Court cases/litigation process.
8. Provide assistance/support to other Litigation team members when the need arises.
9. Ad-hoc/special projects related to legal matters/recovery matters (including reviewing procedures/guidelines).

Minimum LL.B (Honours)
Called to the Bar and minimum 3 years of legal practice (litigation)
Proficiency in English language
