The Senior Associate, Consolidation, is a key member of our financial team, responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the preparation of financial reports across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Consolidation: Prepare and oversee the group's monthly and quarterly financial consolidations, ensuring accuracy through diligent monitoring, reconciliation, and use of SigmaConso or equivalent systems. Engage actively in the consolidation process to produce reliable reports.
  2. Financial Analysis: Lead and contribute to financial discussions with global teams, analyzing data to identify trends, variances, and potential impacts. Prepare comprehensive analysis reports.
  3. Team Collaboration: Work with the manager and team members during consolidation and reporting processes. Share expertise to foster team development and improve overall capabilities.
  4. Compliance and Reporting: Develop and maintain consolidated financial statements adhering to IFRS standards and group policies. Prepare interim reports and presentations for the CFO and Board.
  5. Strategic Support: Assist in preparing board presentations by providing vital financial insights for strategic decision-making.
  6. Data Collection and Collaboration: Coordinate with finance teams across the group to gather necessary data, ensuring smooth and consistent reporting.
  7. Process Improvement: Develop and enhance consolidation procedures, manuals, and frameworks. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
  8. Project Participation: Engage in special finance projects, taking a hands-on role in their execution and delivery.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, particularly in group consolidation involving multiple entities, preferably within large private or listed groups or Big Four firms.
  • Experience in construction or oil and gas industries is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of IFRS and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, capable of handling complex data and creating impactful presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with global teams and producing clear financial reports.
  • Leadership qualities with a hands-on approach to tasks and projects. Ability to mentor others.
  • Strategic, solution-oriented, and systematic in problem-solving.
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment. A team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; postgraduate or professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW) are preferred.
