Responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation, maintenance, and support of business support applications. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and systems, enhancing customer experience, optimizing internal processes and promoting continuous learning and growth within the organization.
- Study functional requests raised by the users and be able to rationalize their financial impact by conducting technical and business analysis for the implementation of solution for Group BPMB
- Ensure out-sourced application systems deliver in timely manner and according to what have been stipulated in the contracts. This to ensure no overrun cost.
- Provide support to the Finance/ Treasury users is within stipulated service level agreement (SLA) and in accordance with the IT procedure.
- Provide advice to the business on functional and technical matters in relation to the core applications.
- Liaise with vendors on matters related to core application for which vendor involvement is necessary.
- Provide training to Finance/ Treasury users as and when required.
- Adhere to guidelines on IT PMO and SDLC.
- Log defect at the various stages in IT PMO and SDLC for project and support related.
- Analyse the defect log and implement problem management practices to identify root causes and prevent recurrence, in alignment with ITIL v4 guidelines.
- Involve in the planning, development, enhancement and support for all existing and new Treasury/ Finance related application.
- Responsible for conducting Unit Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) to ensure an error-free system, while also providing support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assess and process application-related change requests (CRs) promptly, ensuring they are complete before escalating to the formal approval authority.
- Oversee the application of Monthly Windows/ system patches to the applications.
- Escalate identified risks to the immediate superior in accordance with problem management protocols to ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
- Serve as first-level support for the IT Recovery Team (ITRT) in Finance/Treasury systems during annual BCP/DRP simulations, live disaster recovery activities, and six RENTAS BCP/DRP exercises, including Industry-Wide Testing as scheduled by BNM.
- Ensure seamless end-to-end integration to external systems via SFTP method.
- Attend training identified and assigned by the bank without failure unless unavoidable reasonably
- Disseminate knowledge gained from training to others via on-the-job training or formal training which are applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, finance, or a related discipline. A master's degree may be preferred but not always required.
- Relevant certifications in project management, system implementation, or financial systems (e.g., ITILV4 or related certifications) may be advantageous.
- 2-3 years of working experience in managing business support applications, preferably in the finance or treasury domain. Experience with On-Cloud system will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and supporting business applications such as RENTAS, General Ledger system and Treasury systems.
- Proven experience in system integration, upgrade projects, and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Exposure to process optimization and automation initiatives within treasury and financial operations.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards applicable to financial systems.
