We have an opportunity for an Experienced Application Engineer to join our regional team based in Selangor, Malaysia.
This Opportunity in A Nutshell:
The incumbent will focus on providing technical support to grow the water treatment business within industrial customers across Malaysia. This person will identify key gaps and improvement opportunities to expand our water treatment portfolio, using a systematic approach involving appropriate product selection, cost-in-use analysis, and clear value delivery to customers.
This role also includes setting protocols for trials, conducting customer audits, leading key pilot programs, and securing product or solution approvals. As a subject matter expert in water treatment, the incumbent is expected to train and support the local sales team in water and wastewater treatment programs.
Some of the Things You’ll Do:
Identify customer needs and translate them into opportunities across customer segments
Design and implement programs with proper product selection, cost-in-use evaluation, capital investment requirements, and expected customer benefits
Lead execution of key value propositions, offerings, and innovations
Conduct field trials, secure approvals, and replicate successful programs across similar accounts and sectors
Train and provide ongoing technical support to the local sales teams
Monitor, assess, and enhance service delivery models
Collaborate with the Malaysian business team and broader Southeast Asia stakeholders to achieve water treatment growth targets
What You’ll Bring to Us:
Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in water treatment, with a strong focus on chemical-based treatment solutions.
Technical background required (bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or a Science-related field)
Strong problem-solving mindset with a good grasp of technical concepts
Experience with industrial customers and applications in utility water and wastewater treatment
Background in the light manufacturing sector is preferred but not mandatory
This role requires extensive travel within Malaysia as per business needs.
