Objectives of the Position
- Responsible for daily operation activities
- Reviewer & approver for daily and month-end tasks
- Support in internal, regional, and global projects
- Support in team’s operational processes and procedures in full compliance with BASF requirements, Financial Reporting
- Ensure compliance (FRC), local legal and statutory requirements
- Support in issue resolutions and act as advisory on own service delivery topics with local business partners, global counterparts, internal and external stakeholders
- Support Assistant Manager/Manager in day-to-day service delivery
Main Areas Of Responsibilities And Key Activities
Functional Tasks (including but not limited to):
- Responsible for projects, transition, process improvement for own cluster/portfolio
- Ensure service delivery meets targets defined in service level agreements and KPIs for process efficiency, effectiveness, and quality control
- Responsible as reviewer & approver for service delivery activities
- Provide technical, process, and systems support to the team by monitoring processes and ensuring quality in terms of accuracy, completeness, and timeliness daily
- Support coordination, monitoring, and compilation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to improve productivity within the team and conduct benchmarking exercises
- Work closely with Analysts, Assistant Managers, and Managers in daily operations to achieve objectives and targets
Project Management
- Support the implementation of internal, regional, and global processes in the Asia Pacific region
- Support business requirements or variations from global/regional processes, including preparing business cases and escalation when necessary
- Develop relationships with local companies and project owners to ensure proper adoption, implementation, and maintenance of project solutions
- Assist in communicating project deliverables, keeping stakeholders informed on progress and issues/resolutions
Compliance
- Participate in compliance audits and respond to audit queries (internal and external)
- Ensure all work documentation and processes comply with BASF policies, local policies, legal, and statutory requirements
Quality And Continuous Improvement
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for quality and efficiency improvements
- Prepare and review training materials and conduct end-user trainings as needed
- Support knowledge transfer and sharing of best practices among team members
- Support standardization across regions and globally, focusing on alignment of business processes, systems, and tools for resource optimization
Others
- Support Business Continuity Plan (BCP) through resource planning, backup, and communication
- Perform other tasks as required by Service Hub KL management strategy or changing business environment
Job Requirements
Education
- Professional qualification in Finance/Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CPA) or Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting or related fields
Working Experience & Skills
- Over 3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
- Diploma in Finance or Accounting with 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication
- Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, hardworking, with management skills
- Curiosity to learn, adaptability, agility, and willingness to challenge the status quo
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP systems
- Proficiency in English and other languages as required
- Understanding of related processes; knowledge of programming or scripting is a plus but not mandatory
