The Position
The Protective Intelligence function as part of Organon Security and Resilience (OSR) organization supports corporate security programs in collaboration with the OSR CoEs and Regional teams. The function is responsible for the Organon Security & Resilience Center with 24/7 coverage.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst - Protective Intelligence. This role will support the Insider Risk program, Strategic Intelligence program, Travel Risk Management program and All-hazard threat intelligence monitoring (such as natural disasters, security incidents, geopolitical situations) and collection in order to proactively inform on and mitigate risks that could impact business operations, facilities and personnel.
This role will report to the Associate Director of Protective Intelligence, who oversees a team of analysts who monitor intelligence feeds and open-source channels, assess potential impact, and report to stakeholders in a timely manner. The team also services the company’s 24/7 crisis management contact point, triaging to the appropriate Security & Resilience leaders to provide business critical support during incidents.
Responsibilities:
- Participates as a team member to ensure coverage of 24/7 emergency telephone line that escalates external and internal events that have the potential to negatively impact Organon employees, facilities, operations, cause physical or environmental damage, or threaten financial standing, reputation, or property.
- Conducts proactive reviews to determine if threats exist to Organon Executives, travelers or events.
- Alert Security & Resilience members about threats to Organon.
- Manage tools and technologies that ensure founders’ wellbeing and support Country Incident Management Teams, Corporate Incident Assessment Team and Corporate Crisis Management Team, as warranted.
- Report Cyber Security Incidents and Product Integrity incidents.
- Provide strategic analysis of threat events to senior managers.
- Provide tactical assessments and support.
- Data scraping in open source and vendors to identify security deteriorations and trends.
- Drive best practices and provide guidance.
- Includes shift work (after hours, weekends and holidays).
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Political Science, International Relations or related field.
- 3 - 4 years’ relevant experience in a security operations center, or similar environment with analytical, investigative, emergency response, security or geopolitical assessment experience.
- Expertise in multi-source intelligence collection, assessment and dissemination.
- Knowledge of the intelligence cycle, including analytic methodologies and techniques.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, especially in preparing clear and concise summaries of critical events in a timely manner.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience synthesizing large amounts of information from multiple sources into concise, analytic assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Action oriented with a passion for getting things done quickly, efficiently, and properly.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances.
- English language fluency.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams.
- Advanced degree and/or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Other languages a plus.
