Job summary

Maybank is seeking a capable reporting professional to prepare accurate management and regulatory reports for internal stakeholders in Group Risk, Group Finance, and Group Corporate Credit, as well as regulatory bodies.

You will monitor data quality, support regulator submissions, and drive efficiency through automation while collaborating across Corporate Banking to resolve discrepancies and support governance needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Business, Information Technology, Law, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Credit, Financial Reporting, Portfolio Management, Banking Operations, or related functions.
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of data analysis, reporting, and process improvement methodologies.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies, automation initiatives, system integration projects, or robotic process automation (RPA) is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across different business functions.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of SQL, data analytics tools, or reporting platforms will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely, and reliable management and regulatory reports for internal stakeholders including Group Risk, Group Finance, Group Corporate Credit, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the preparation and submission of reports required by regulators, auditors, and senior management.
• Monitor, analyze, and validate data to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Maintain reporting databases and perform regular updates to ensure data quality and completeness.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation, system enhancements, and process optimization.
• Act as a key liaison for ad-hoc reporting requests, projects, and data-related initiatives across Corporate Banking.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various business units to gather, consolidate, and analyze information.
• Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies, queries, and operational issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in business transformation initiatives, automation projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support departmental administration, governance, and reporting requirements while ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
