The Senior Analyst, Financial Accounting and Controlling is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial operations of the life sciences industry in Malaysia.

Description

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure proper documentation is provided.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies, recommending improvements where needed.
  • Assist in implementing new accounting standards and updates as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members within the Accounting & Finance department.

Profile

A successful candidate should have:

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Experience working within the life sciences industry is an advantage.
