Job description

Responsibilities:

Support bank’s net zero strategy by tracking performance metrics, scenario modelling, analyzing financed emissions data and staying informed on regulatory and countries commitments/update.

This role requires the candidate to ensure accurate reporting, data-driven insights for decision making, and facilitate collaboration with business units to align on the bank’s decarbonisation strategy while addressing the challenges related to data availability, reporting requirements, consistencies and internal alignment

Performance management

• Monitor and update quarterly physical emissions intensity for 6 sector pathway.
• Develop reports to senior management on target progress against KRIs.
• To support the project team on project administration;
• To support the project team on the climate targets and decarbonization/transition plans with key internal stakeholders (as part of the deliberation, review, and/or approval process) and work with business units/stakeholders.

Strategy & Planning

• To assess the emission projection for our net zero pathway sectors to evaluate their trajectory towards 2030.
• To support business with computing pre-deal emission intensity.
• To support portfolio manager, both group and business in accessing the strategies towards the 2030 interim target.

Insights/Analytics

• Collect and process emissions data for financed assets.
• Develop visual dashboards to highlight trends.
• Identify risks and gaps in existing net zero models.

Learning

• Conduct research on global climate policies and sustainable finance frameworks.
• Research on all the different types of reference scenarios used to develop the pathways and the respective updates to them to access the impact on our interim target

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in project management including performance reporting/monitoring and data analysis
• Preferably Accounting/Finance/Statistics/Business Administration/Actuary background.
• Independent and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research and data analysis with attention to details.
• Sound excel skills to interpret emission models. Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
• Inquisitive mind to solve problem with strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude. and strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to perform work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines, independent and a good team player.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with people at all levels. Computer literate with extremely good Excel skills.
