Job summary
FGE NexantECA in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Analyst or Consultant to work across our energy and chemicals advisory practice. You will contribute to single-client engagements and our industry reports program, covering technology, economics and market analysis across hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, polymers, C1 chemicals, bio-renewables and related topics.
The role demands strong analytical skills, client relationship ability, and the capacity to travel globally.

- Participate in the delivery of consulting engagements and to exceed client's expectations, through research, analysis and report writing.
- Conduct primary research to understand key industry issues and develop market balances and projections.
- Manage research and analysis of industry data using spreadsheets.
- Conduct research on process technology trends and develop economic models of capital and operating costs of industrial plants.
- Meet internal quality, time, and budget constraints.
- Potentially work closely with clients; prepare and deliver presentations, and assist in building strong client relationships.
- Develop and broaden personal knowledge and professional capabilities within projects.
- Assist and support team members in all aspects of engagement delivery across projects.

The work will cover technology, economics, and market analysis within a broad range of energy and chemical-related sectors; from hydrocarbon fuels and feedstocks, petrochemicals and polymers to C1 chemicals, bio-renewables, and special topics.
We are looking for a Senior Analyst or Consultant to work across FGE NexantECA, the Energy and Chemicals Advisory company, with involvement in single client projects and our industry reports programme. The work will cover technology, economics, and market analysis within a broad range of energy and chemical-related sectors; from hydrocarbon fuels and feedstocks, petrochemicals and polymers to C1 chemicals, bio-renewables, and special topics.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science.
- 3-10 years' previous industry analysis/consulting, research or process industry experience.
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft spread sheets, word processing and presentation applications.
- Proficient in the use of databases.
- Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Positive and flexible attitude to work, particularly on new initiatives.
- Diplomatic in meeting and working with people, good cultural awareness.
- Understanding and commitment to equal opportunities.
