Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Executive, Legal - Compliance (AML-CFT) to monitor regulatory compliance, advise on governance, and support risk controls across the organization. The role requires evaluating new laws, maintaining registers, and coordinating regulatory responses with senior management.

Experience in AML/CFT, regulatory advisory, and third-party oversight is preferred; you'll engage with committees and drive training to foster a culture of integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• One or more AML/CFT certifications (e.g., CAMS, CCEP, IDGRC, CFE) or ICA Specialist Certificate in AML/CFT.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
• Assess impact of regulatory changes on operations and ensure timely implementation.
• Maintain a comprehensive compliance obligation register and governance documentation.
• Perform compliance reviews and testing per the Compliance Plan and identify gaps.
• Provide regulatory advisory support to business and support functions; review new products and partnerships.
• Support AML/CFT controls, risk assessments, and reporting initiatives.
• Draft and update policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with regulations.
• Promote a culture of integrity and conduct, and deliver compliance training.
