Job summary

Sanmina Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Research & Development to design and implement advanced AI solutions. You will bridge research and production, lead intelligent systems development, and define scalable AI model architectures for integration into core products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• Advanced experience (4+ years) with AWS, SageMaker, EC2, S3, and Lambda to scale AI workloads.
• Deep experience with Machine Learning frameworks and LLM orchestration tools.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (specifically EKS) for AI microservices.
• Experience using Terraform or Ansible to manage reproducible research environments.
• Expert ability to code and script (Python).
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) systems and optimizing IT operations for data-heavy applications.
• Excellent communication skills to translate AI concepts for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Development for manufacturing and business problems using ML, DL, and generative AI.
• R&D Innovation by prototyping new AI technologies and frameworks.
• Infrastructure for AI including GPU-accelerated environments.
• Testing and model validation with data quality checks and bias/accuracy troubleshooting.
• MLOps: CI/CD pipelines for training, versioning, and deployment of models.
• Define AI frameworks and tools to be used across the software lifecycle.
• Ensure data security and ethical AI practices.
• Technical mentorship and support for users and junior engineers.
